Lincoln vs. Frankenstein

Last night grandpa Bullen walked in stiffly with his arms stretched out and in a scary voice said, "I'm Frankenstein!" Lincoln looked up, stuck out his hand, and said, "Nice to meet you!"

Splish Splash

We took Lincoln to the San Tan Village splash pad on Monday. Lincoln was VERY reluctant at first. (My parents had taken him on Saturday, but he refused to get in the water). Shawn convinced him by helping him to punch the water, there was no turning back. Obviously, Lincoln had a great time.

Shawn bought Lincoln this special Toy Story 3 cereal as a congratulations to Lincoln on becoming a big brother. Lincoln has been an excellent big brother for Oliver. He has been very helpful and gentle. Lincoln gets very excited when Oliver cries...I think he is just excited that Oliver is awake, new babies can be very boring to toddlers.

Lincoln-isms:
Lincoln: "Mommy, can I have some Diet Coke?"
Me: "No, this is mommy juice, its only for grown ups."
Lincoln: "But I AM a grown up, I used scissors today."

The logic is just incredible isn't it?

Lincoln Jensen's Day Off

Actually, this has been Lincoln's week off. He only went to school one day this week. He has had a morning and evening cough and a runny nose; probably swallowing too much pool water, but we kept him home just in case and it has turned out to be a very fun week. Lincoln has been spoiled rotten because this is his last week as an only child and of course he has been unbelievably cute and sweet.

Here are some pictures from our fun filled week. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from the pool and Lincoln swimming and cannonball accomplishments. Just know that those happened too :)

Lincoln's new Spiderman umbrella
(I justified this $6 purchase because it is Monsoon Season here in AZ)

Lincoln and I planted some herbs on Tuesday; parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. Just kidding, it was actually oregano, lavender, cilantro and thyme.

On Saturday, our last day as a family of 3, we went and saw Toy Story 3. It was amazing!

We finished up the day with dinner at IHOP (thanks for the gift-card Poppa Jensen) and a trip to the "play place" at the mall. The mall has this hurricane stimulator. For 2 bucks you experience the wind speed of a "real" hurricane. Hands down the best 2 bucks we've ever spent at the mall!

And now, we patiently await the arrival of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Jensen

Superhero Violinist

Lincoln just informed me that he would like a Spiderman violin. Apparently he wants to be a superhero concert musician.

Where Tractors Go

Yesterday there was a backhoe doing work on the road. Today it was gone and Linc said "The tractor is gone!"

"Where?" I asked.

"Back to farmer!"
