I like pumpkins

To pumpkin or not to pumpkin....that is the question.

Does my face look squashy?

Fire Safety

Last night at dinner Lincoln was telling us about learning Fire Safety at school. Monica asked him what he should do if he was on fire. She coaxed him to say "Stop! Drop! and . . . " Lincoln said BUUUURRRRRNNNN!

What grapes turn into

Dad: Hey Lincoln, do you know what grapes turn into when they dry out?

Lincoln: No

Dad: Raisins!

Lincoln: (chuckles) No they don't! They turn into something very disgusting!

"Daddy, spiders freak me out"

Last night Oliver was crying in the car and we couldn't really get him to calm down. Lincoln said "He probably needs attention"

Earlier this week I was frustrated that I didn't have cell phone service when trying to make a call...I said in an exasperated voice "Oh my gosh"! Lincoln said " You don't have to talk grumpy mommy, we can work it out"

Today during lunch Lincoln didn't want to eat his veggies. Just as a side note Lincoln generally loves his veggies. ANYWAY today he said "Yawn....I am so tired, I think I will go take a nap now, I am too tired to eat my veggies"

Apparently Lincoln has been inviting his friends and teachers at school to come over and play at his baseball game and on his waterslide....I am not sure where he is keeping his waterslide.

Lincoln was telling us that Santa Claus was going to bring him presents this year. I said "What makes you think Santa is going to bring you presents?" Lincoln said "Because Heavenly Father loves us"....I guess you can't argue with that logic.

We love Lincoln, he is funny kid, who is constantly entertaining us with stories about pirates, buried treasure and the recent bad guys he "killed" while pretending to be Superman, Batman, or Spiderman. He frequently makes up his own songs to the theme music of his favorite super-hero's.

Lincoln has been especially polite lately using please, thank you, no thank you, and of course, you're welcome. It's been a nice change considering that he went through a 3 month phase of constant total tantrum meltdowns the minute he didn't get his way.....I guess we will keep him a little longer.

The Book of Lincoln

Tonight for FHE, we had a lesson on being happy. We had 2 Nephi 2:25 up on the tv and we had Lincoln repeat the scripture after us...only he finished it off before we did. His version: Adam fell that men might be; and men are that they might have...birthdays!
