First Fishing Adventure
This was Lincoln's first time fishing. He has been wanting to go for months - we got him a Spiderman fishing pole for this occasion. Uncle Bruce and Uncle Tyler showed him the ins and outs of fishing. See the family blog for more pictures from our Lake Mohave Trip.
It was also Lincoln's first time on a boat:

Kindergarten
These 2 pictures were taken at "Meet the Teacher Night" at Lincoln's new desk.
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Lincoln picked out his own outfit, (do boys call it an outfit?) But he asked me if it would look good. For the record, he has a Dark Knight Batman backpack and lunch box - And his teacher is Miss Bruce, Room 105.
Super
Strong
Lincoln!
I asked him if we was nervous, and he said "No, what do I have to be nervous about?
Lincoln waving at Oliver & I from the Kindergarten Playground.
Goodbye brother!
Lincoln going to greet his friend Lily (the blonde girl with the pink backpack in the background).

Honesty is the best policy
Today Lincoln and Oliver were helping me get ready for Primary. As I had my back turned Oliver had picked up the "CTR Moment" candy and was helping himself to when Sister Bear caught him. She asked Oliver to return his candy, which he did without throwing a fit (thankfully) and then Lincoln came up and returned candy that Oliver had given even though Sister Bear didn't ask him to. Ironically enough today's Primary Sharing time was on "Honesty". Sister Bear shared the story with the entire Primary
Obviously as their mother I am SO proud that my boys were honest when I wasn't watching! The first time I heard the story was when Sister Bear shared it during sharing time. Maybe I am teaching them something after all.

Basketball
Lincoln has been playing basketball with our YMCA. This has been an interesting experience for us, well me at least, to really watch Lincoln interact with other kids, be part of a team and listen and follow directions from a coach. I like Lincoln's coach, Shannon. For her it's more about having fun and developing skills instead of winning and I am glad that has been her approach instead of "winning is all that matters"...
Email from Lincoln's coach:
"I wanted to mention I'm really impressed with Lincoln's progress in basketball, it's amazing how he's grown especially in the past three weeks. His dribbling is great, he wants to play defense and he has the knack for wanting to have the ball. The shooting will come later when he gets a bit bigger."

Shawn got the opportunity to coach the team twice while Lincoln's regular coach was out of town. He had a good time working with the kids and who knows maybe he will get to do it again.
