Basketball

Lincoln has been playing basketball with our YMCA. This has been an interesting experience for us, well me at least, to really watch Lincoln interact with other kids, be part of a team and listen and follow directions from a coach. I like Lincoln's coach, Shannon. For her it's more about having fun and developing skills instead of winning and I am glad that has been her approach instead of "winning is all that matters"...

Email from Lincoln's coach:
"I wanted to mention I'm really impressed with Lincoln's progress in basketball, it's amazing how he's grown especially in the past three weeks. His dribbling is great, he wants to play defense and he has the knack for wanting to have the ball. The shooting will come later when he gets a bit bigger."
-Karshannon Gene

Shawn got the opportunity to coach the team twice while Lincoln's regular coach was out of town. He had a good time working with the kids and who knows maybe he will get to do it again.

Five - Calling All Superheroes

Lincoln is 5!  We had an awesome Superhero party for him complete with bouncy house. The bouncy house was money well spent! I think Shawn might want one for his birthday....

Thanks for driving all night to be with Lincoln for his birthday!

North Pole Experience

Lincoln got a special trip with Grandma and Grandpa Bullen to Greer, Arizona. Greer has a special portal that lets you travel to the North Pole, without ever Arizona.

Kids Inc Christmas Program 2011

This is one of those moments every parent dreams about.  It's the day you press the Santa t-shirts, charge the batteries, make sure the memory card is empty, pile into the car, and gather as a family at your kid's school for the annual Christmas program.  Ah, it's simply magical!

There n'ere is a better cookie than the one touched by the sound of children singing the carols of Christmas.

Dear Santa,

Mo-Hawk!

Lincoln's hair grows so fast!!! I took him for a hair cut the week before Thanksgiving and 3 weeks later look how long it was.  Lincoln wanted a buzz cut this time, he doesn't like the squirt bottle in the morning to tame this mane...the buzz cut means more time for cereal.  Lincoln had a lot of fun posing for these.

This is pretty awesome....
